If there’s one thing Portland is as well known for as bicycles, it's our food. With a temperate climate and the lush Willamette Valley nearby, things grow year round here. Coupled with a population that prizes fresh local ingredients, Portland has become a food mecca. Join us as we visit several local food providers who are passionate about good eating. We'll visit their shops, hear their stories and try their delicious artisan products. This easy 5 mile ride is the perfect mix of great food, easy exercise and sightseeing. Along the way we’ll point out all the best bars, restaurants and many Portland sights including Powell's Books, Stumptown Coffee, Downtown, the Pearl District and Northwest.
Highlights of this 3 ½ hour tour including touring a coffee roaster, sampling artisan cheeses and fresh made bread, mouth watering cookies made with seasonal ingredients, house-made soda made with local berries, pizza with seasonal toppings and a celebrated chocolate shop. When possible, the tour also makes a stop at Portland’s home for fresh produce, the Portland Farmers Market. The tour includes a bike, helmet, the guided tour, all the delicious delectables mentioned above and costs only $69.
